THE MERCY OF GOD

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” Hebrews 4:16

Until you obtain MERCY you cannot find Grace (Divine favour, Divine help, Divine blessing). All actions of God are traceable to His mercy. Read through Psalms 136:1-26 and you will understand what I am saying. God is good because His mercy endureth forever. All his acts from creation till now is traceable His mercy.

1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
4 To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. (Psalms 136:1-4)

So if you want God to intervene in your life situations, you must first of all obtain mercy in His sight.
The mercy of God is not for the forgiveness of sins alone. It is for divine intervention in the life of men. It is for the helpless. It is for the needy. It is for the oppressed. In the book of Mark 10:46-52, the blind man cried out for mercy not for the forgiveness of sins, but for divine intervention in his situation.

46 ¶ And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

When the blind man asked for mercy, Jesus said to him “what will thou that I should do to thee?”. Whenever you ask God for mercy, that is that he will always reply you.
Do you want anything from God? Why not ask Him for mercy and tell Him exactly what you want from Him. Remember the scripture above “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” Hebrews 4:16

I declare in the name of Jesus:
 • You will obtain the mercy of God
 • You will fine grace in the sight of God
•God will intervene in your situation
 • Your testimony is sure.
 • You will succeed
